  1. Discuss how and why C. S. Lewis' Great Divorce transfigures (changes) traditional/popular notions of heaven and hell, and what these transfigurations tell us about human nature

*Plan your essay for at least three minutes

  • Please go to Google Classroom and follow the instructions for posting your presentation.
  • I will put them all in folders that you can access and glean from in preparation for your ICE (In Class Essay) on Tuesday (no school Monday). 
    • Reminder: you may bring hand-written notes with you to use on your essay. You may NOT bring internet information
  • Let's discuss what comprises a well-written essay  
    • As an English department, these are the SAT guidelines we are committed to using this year. Let's take a look at them and also some samples.
HW: Remember that you need to prepare your handwritten notes and quotes for your In Class Essay on Tuesday. The prompt will be related somehow to the Nail on the blog's left column. Enjoy!
