Admit impediments. Love is not love
Without the joy their recitations find,
Thus bending in a bow soon to remove.
Five things that go in your binder:
1. Syllabus. I will write your quarterly grade here. Put it in as the first item in your binder. Next, Four (or more) divisions
2. Notes
3. Journals
4. Essays
5. Quizzes and Tests
Grading
Your binder is generally worth between 30 and 50 points per quarter
I grade your binder on a given day in the last two weeks of each quarter
I grade it in class during the period, so you may share the binder with other classes
I take off about 5 points for each missing assignment or day of notes.
I take off about 2 points for each minor infraction (a loose paper, torn cover, a paper out of sequence, a paper in the wrong section)
This has been assigned all year long. Please have your dividers in place and all papers in place. Periods 3 and 4, I have a few papers to hand back that I will give you time to put in your binders tomorrow as class is starting.
