Block, 5/8 - Will you be an ideal husband (or a Proverbs 31 woman)?

• Victorians were obsessed with upholding ideals . . . or at least with maintaining ideal appearances. As we watch Wilde's An Ideal Husband, be looking for and taking notes on themes it shares in common with The Importance of Being Earnest. You will notice quite a bit of overlap. Enjoy!

HW: 

1. CWP Q4 - due Tuesday
2. Poetry recitation - next Wednesday: Be sure to remember the following:
1. Know the poem to the point where you can feel its meaning and you want to share that with your audience. Let the words inspire you.
2. Don't be overly theatrical (make the poem the center, not your cheer leading performance ; )
3. Make eye contact with your entire audience (don't merely look at your teacher; don't look into thin air)
4. Everyone has to present; everyone is nervous ; )
